Post Eclipse Experience.

Eclipse was awesome!

Not as good as the book, but good enough.

Team Cullen

The storyline did not stray far from the book, watching it with a non-twilightian (my dearest hubby who else) who understood the movie, so that confirmed that it was a good movie. Hubby also thinks the lines especially those delivered by Edward was way too cheesy for his liking, (only when I was about to swoon...) :-P

Why do like the book and movie so much? Why?

I don't know... is it Edward Cullen's lines? A non-twilightian's (and I have to agree) perception is that in the end, Bella seemed to be such a nuisance to everyone... ha!ha! and a tad selfish too, for "loving" both boys.

Even though we know she is obviously Team Edward... she is actually like me...
Team EdCob!

Edward for the whole persona, the gentleman, the charming, the caring, the old school romantic and gallant (the only thing missing was him riding on a horse, swooping the clumsy Bella off her feet).

But when shirtless Jacob, the macho, the alpha male, the reckless, the selfless, the six-pack all tanned skin, shorts and running shoes fella keep on forcing his company on her... what is a hapless girl to do...

I don't blame her. I'd be torn myself... ha!ha!ha!

If I was 17 of course. Of course!

Furthermore, according to my hubby there is no way a girl nowadays wants to hear and would just die to be treated with all "the nonsense" that Edward has to say and does to win Bella...

Yeah, sure, none of us care for those things anymore...

Only because we have our pretty Charles & Keith wearing feet placed firmly on the ground. We can only find an Edward Cullen in books and movies nowadays! That's why we read these books and watch the movies. Sigh! (Of course, my hubby just rolled his eyes when I said... yes I we don't mind our men talking and behaving like how Edward does sometimes!!! And we definitely don't mind our men having gorgeous abs like Taylor Lautner too! :-)). So how many of you ladies out there who have non-twilightians spouses like me??? We should create a group in FB don't cha think?

Still it's a good movie, I thought, and I'm pretty excited to watch Breaking Dawn now, though apparently it won't be out so soon. In the meantime, we are left with Twilights re-runs on Astro and soon perhaps New Moon too.

Ok, gotta go check on my EdCob, who is busy cleaning out my Cooker Hood Filter... sigh! The man is after my heart I tell ya!!! Who needs Edward Cullen eh...  ;-)

Leaving you with a few things that I love from Eclipse.

The meadow - it is just beautiful, isn't it?

Peter Facinelli - Dr. Carlisle (dreamboat) Cullen is one good looking Vampire isn't he?
Bet he would look better if he is a tad less pale.

We get to see a bit more of Jasper Hale /Cullen in Eclipse. Which I like too!

So what will you remember most about Eclipse apart from Jacob's "I'm hotter than you line?"....

For me, I'm sorry but it has to be this...
Bella's Engagement Ring
Isn't it just Gorgeous???

Ready for my 1st Twilight Saga Cinema experience....

Sad but true. The Eclipse would be the 1st of the Twilight Saga that I would be watching at the cinema! I wasn't much of a fan until they started airing Twilight on Astro, when New Moon was screening nationwide, and I still have no clue what all the fuss was all about. Until I managed to catch Twilight, that too not the whole length of the movie at each sitting. After watching Twilight, I thought... hmmm interesting, let's try the book. Click on the link of my last entry on the book.

Obviously since I am updating about Eclipse, I was hooked immediately. Completed the whole 4 books in a period of 2 weeks. Sure, teenage stuff, but still a good story line. The Edward character is one romantic fella, just makes you swoon... very Mills & Boon material (when was the last time I read that?). Ha!ha!

Anyway, yesterday I finally managed to get whole of the New Moon DVD, and watched it last night with hubby. So I am so ready for tomorrow night!!! Can't wait... trying out the twin seats for the 1st time too!

Are you a gold digga?

A razor blade? Well, readers who aren't familiar with the Malay idiom of being a gold digger - in Malay a gold digger is nicknamed a razor blade (Pisau Cukur). There is even a Malay movie titled so. I watched it quite sometime ago, but just has not had the time to blog about it.

My thoughts about the movie - Hilarious and so OTT! I liked it!
If you have not seen it, well imagine, Clueless meets Legally Blonde, just the Malay version.

The Story:

What happens when prey and predator are both trapped on a luxury cruise ship? Two gold digging girls, Bella and Intan, come face to face with three Datuks, three Datuk's wives, two Datuk's children, one private detective and one diehard fan of Bella's. Who are the predators and who are the prey? On a voyage that's full of surprises, anything can happen!

Maya Karin - she played her part well and she looked so slim and pretty!

Fazura - well this girl was a natural.

L to R: Aaron Aziz (current Malay dreamboat I guess, cute!), Fazura,
Maya Karin and Bernard Chauly the director.

For more check out their official website.

Lines from the movie to remember... Oh my Gucci!

Ironman 2

Thursday 29, April 2010
Location : at home

Conversation between my 6 yr old Zarif and myself : Mama, can you and Papa take the day off tomorrow (Friday 30, April 2010). Right after I finish school, can we go to the cinemas. I saw on tv they said that Ironman 2 will be showing in cinemas on 30 April. Tomorrow IS 30 April!!!
OMG! Can you believe that??? He wants me to take the day off just to catch Ironman 2 on the very day that it's out!!! Well, so happens that I was on leave on Friday. However, we didn't plan to go on Friday at all. I actually already bought tickets on Thursday afternoon for Saturday afternoon. When I told Zarif this, he was worried that by then, Ironman 2 screening would be over. However, that one day and a half wait was absolute torment for him. He kept asking, when are we going to the cinemas??? He!he! Anyway, 4:45 p.m finally arrived.

So Marvel comics lovers, Ironman lovers, Tony Stark's fans, Audi fans or hubby may even add Scarlett Johansson's fans (hmmm!)... whichever category that you fall into well wait no longer. Not to be missed! Zarif sure loved it!!

Oh by the way, let me just add, if you are a handbag lover please pay close attention to Gwyneth Paltrow's handbag towards the 2nd half of the show. Been googling it all weekend to no avail. It's a definite Ferragamo in solid black. It's just divine... my gasps were even louder when I saw this compared to when the R8 appeared in the movie! Tell me what you think... yeah ok, about the movie too if you must.
